My name is Marc, also known as Comiskey Photography. My photography journey started back in 2017, before knowing anything about exposure, ISO or how to properly focus a lens, when I attended my first convention in Belfast. From a young age I’ve always had a deep-rooted love for movies, comics and video games not just experiencing them but seeing the process behind their creation and more specifically their cinematography. 

Having moved from a 2DSXL to a mirrorless camera, a lot of my output is capturing a subject in natural environments that compliment their attire. I strive for an authenticity that sells the character rather than just getting a convenient shot in a convention hall. This extends to my other work, with the GAA and weddings, that rely on more spontaneous shots to capture these moments in action.

In my editing process, if there is a chance to incorporate coloured RBG lights into a shoot I put them there to really let the imagery pop. I believe in making an image the best it can be when shooting, and editing is an extension to this, bringing out the quality more, rather than adding post production effects.
