The Cosplay Photographers Association of Ireland (CPAI) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation, founded by Liam Dunne and Amy Shearer, that strives to connect photographers of all experience levels across the Irish Cosplay Community with a goal of showcasing the isle’s creative output to a larger, international audience. 

• Create a safe community space for people with an interest in Cosplay Photography to share ideas, connect and collaborate. 

• Offer a collective voice to advocate for Cosplay Photographers operating within the isle of Ireland. 

• Provide educational support and hands-on learning opportunities for beginners. 

• Improve working relationships between Cosplayers and Photographers. 

• Promote Irish creatives to a greater audience through online presence and attendance at comic conventions. 

We believe that in forming a collective, we can better serve the Cosplay Community by ensuring our members adhere to professional standards and operating practices as set out in our constitution and by-laws. This will in turn elevate the reputation and credibility of the CPAI as we continue to grow together.

The CPAI is committed to advocate for the best interests of the Cosplay Community, a community we are also active members in. CPAI members will be held to be the golden standard in Cosplay Photography, provide not only a safe space at conventions, and a safe environment on-location, but we will advocate for and educate others on ethical photography at conventions. The CPAI will be hosting panels, tables, and other types of workshops at conventions and online in an attempt to better our niche.

• Support and advice from our network of talented cosplay photographers. 

• Opportunities to be featured on our social media/blog, and in our zine. 

• Opportunities to represent the CPAI at conventions and judge competitions. 

Currently, becoming a member of the CPAI is absolutely free. We ask our members to become active participants of the Association by donating their time and skills.

Are you over the age of 18? If so, please read our Constitution and By-Laws in full then fill out the application form below for our team to review!  All potential new members will undergo a probation period, lasting 30 days, where you will be given access to the Instagram group chat, where you can get to know us and we can get to know you. Upon completion of the probation period your recent work will be spotlighted on our website and socials, and you will become a fully fledged member of the CPAI.
